According to several reports, rapping mogul Jay-Z refused to pose with models as a sign of respect for his wife, Beyonce, at the Victoria’s Secret 2009 Fashion Show in New York, which took place last week Thursday.

The star who was allegedly begged to walk the red carpet of the show, refused to take pictures with the models or even do the walk on the red carpet and was said to have explained it as wanting “to respect his wife Beyonce”.

“Victoria’s Secret begged, but Jay-Z refused. He explained it was out of respect for Beyonce. At M2 [the venue of the after party], he was given a private booth so he could keep his distance from models including Alessandra Ambrosio, Selita Ebanks, Chanel Iman, Miranda Kerr and Heidi Klum,” said sources.

I totally understand his reasoning because when you snapped with models it can seem rather fishy as the paparazzi are known for linking people or getting people in their wrong pose even when the person was not causing any harm. Good for you J.
