The SA Style Awards are one of the most prestigious events on SA’s fashion and socials calender and once again on their 13th year they managed to prove why they are the most talked about event of the year.

Boasting a guestlist that is any publicists dream. Founder and co-ordinator of the event, publicist Jillian Grogor, had guests such as models Lady Kitty Spencer, Claudia Henkel and Lee-Ann Liebenberg, fashion guru Dion Chang, singers Lira Molapo, Loyiso Bala, 5FM’s Elana Afrika, designer David Tlale, Mark Fish’s ex wife Lois, hot couple Unathi and Thomas Msengana and more, all in one room for the event.

This year the event was sponsored by Nelson Mandela Square, Sun international, the Hyatt Regency, Shimasky Jewellers, Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, 312 Couture, Calton Hair International, Dermalogica, Thanda Private Game Reserve, Jameson Gold, Mi Fone, Mumm and OSuthern Right and Hamilton Wine Estates, who gauranteed the winners some great treats for scooping the awards.

While waiting for the winners to be dropped off in Aston Martin’s and Roll Royce’s at the  Square, guests were invited to sip on welcoming champagne from Mumm, while they could browse the displayed Aston Martins.

After mingling with the guests, it was soon time to head up to the ballroom where a three course meal was served, while on the starter, guests were treated to a tune by Jen Su, Loyiso and rapper JR.

Winners of the awards who took home a chic couture statuette were:

Most stylish business person: Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana player Matthew Booth

Most stylish Model: Lady Kitty Spencer, who is daugher of Earl Charles Spencer and Victoria Aitken and is the late Princess Diana’s niece- she also took home the overall wining award of Most Stylish Person.

Most stylish performer in music: Pop singer Xander Ferreira

Most Innovative spunk: Smarteez

Most Stylish Media Personality: Glamour magazine editor Pnina Fenster

Most stylish designer: Gavin Rajah

Style Icon: Former Miss Universe Michelle McLean

Most Stylish performing artist in film: Nina Milner

Most stylish couple: Unathi and Thomas Msengana
